I understand and have agreed to all the sections of this 'Student Agreement'.

   Your MacBook is OWNED BY THE SCHOOL and your parents pay for you to use it as part of your school fees.

   If you LEAVE the College before you complete YEAR 9, the MacBook has to be handed back to the school before leaving.

   At the END OF YEAR 9 your MacBook is handed back to the school in fair working condition. There is no option to buy it and keep it.

   You MUST bring your MacBook to school every day, fully charged.

   You MUST carry your MacBook in the provided carry case at all times when on the move.

   IF there is INAPPROPRIATE USE of your MacBook, you may lose the right to take it home at night and the device is left at school at the end of each day.

   You are NOT ALLOWED to put any stickers on ( or write on ) any part of the MacBook other than on a removeable clip-on case.

   IF your MacBook is NOT WORKING as it should, you are to bring it to one of the I.T. staff at school.

   IF your MacBook needs to be sent away to be fixed, you will be given a temporary loan computer whilst it is away.

   IF the issue is faulty parts that are covered under WARRANTY there is NO COST to your parents.

   IF there is significant damage ( ie broken screen ) and you have APPLECARE+ warranty you can make two claims with a nominal cost of $149 to your parents.

   IF there is significant damage ( ie broken screen ) and you don't have APPLECARE+ warranty your parents are liable for the repair/replacement cost of the device.

   THERE IS NO WARRANTY for MacBook's damaged by WATER. Your parents are liable for the repair/replacement cost of the device due to liquid damage.

   You MUST NOT tell anyone your PASSWORD

   Your SCHOOL EMAIL is ONLY to be used for SCHOOL PURPOSES. Not for personal communication.

   When SENDING EMAILS, you must be POLITE and COURTEOUS and use correct grammar and spelling.

   You MUST NOT send emails containing any CONTENT or PHOTOS about other students unless directly required for a CLASSROOM ACTIVITY.

   When SENDING EMAILS, do not expect an immediate response from the recipient. They will respond as soon as they can and at a time that suitable to them.

   YOU MUST NOT use your school email to sign up to online accounts like the App Store, Social Media, Digital Subscriptions, Online Streaming Services etc.

   CREATE your own 'personal' email ( ie. GMail, Yahoo, iCloud ) to sign up to online accounts like the App Store, Social Media, Digital Subscriptions, Online Streaming Services etc.

   When you LEAVE the school, your ACCOUNT and EMAIL are both DELETED immediately.

   When you JOIN to the MERCY WIFI you are placed into the STUDENT NETWORK which is filtered against harmful websites and content.

   EVERYTHING you look at and download AT SCHOOL is recorded on our filter and can be inspected by teachers at any time.

   You MUST browse and download CONTENT that is FOR EDUCATION PURPOSES only.

   You have a DAILY DOWNLOAD LIMIT that is more than enough for general study use.

   If YOU use the internet and downloads INAPPROPRIATELY, you will have your INTERNET ACCESS REMOVED for a set period of time.

   All SOCIAL MEDIA SITES are BLOCKED for STUDENTS on the SCHOOL NETWORK.

   You MUST NOT sign up to ANY SOCIAL MEDIA sites using your SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS.

   You MUST NOT post any photos of other students and staff at school or on school excursions on your own personal SOCIAL MEDIA sites.

   You MUST NOT post any comments that are NEGATIVE or DEROGATORY of the school or anyone in the school community on your personal SOCIAL MEDIA sites.

   The SCHOOL will provide LICENCING for all SOFTWARE required for your SCHOOL WORK.

   You CAN stream VIDEOS and MUSIC from streaming services from your own PERSONAL accounts.

   You MUST NOT download and install any SOFTWARE that you that you have NOT PAID FOR and DO NOT OWN.

   You MUST NOT download or store any VIDEOS, MUSIC etc that you have NOT PAID FOR and DO NOT OWN.

   You MUST NOT seek to obtain the PASSWORD or PIN of any other member of the SCHOOL COMMUNITY.

   You MUST NOT take PHOTOS or VIDEOS of any other member of the SCHOOL COMMUNITY without their consent.

   You MUST NOT post, share or distribute any PHOTOS or VIDEOS of any other member of the SCHOOL COMMUNITY - ever.

   I understand MOBILE PHONES are NOT TO BE USED during SCHOOL HOURS.

   I will treat all others with RESPECT and CARE.

   In the classroom I will engage in the learning activities and not disrupt the learning of my peers.

   I understand the rules of hands-off and no bullying at the all times during school hours and on bus travel.

   I will wear the correct school uniform at all times.

   I will ATTEND ALL all school events including liturgies, camps, retreats and sports days. I fully understand attendance is not optional on these days.

   If you FEEL ANYONE is breaking any of the rules outlined in this AGREEMENT, please talk to a Mercy Regional College Staff Member.

   If you FEEL another STUDENT has breached your PRIVACY, please talk to your Home Room Teacher.

   If you FEEL harassed or bullied by another STUDENT or STUDENTS, please talk to your MERCY Teacher, Community Leader or Assistant Principal - Wellbeing.
